Pair Teaching in Preservice Teacher Education



ABSTRACT  This article is concerned with a collaborative form of teacher education–more specifically, with pair teaching in the preservice training of EFL/ESL teachers in Hungary. It discusses the results of a longitudinal study of the relationship between the principles of pair teaching and its realization in classroom work. The data were collected primarily through a series of interviews conducted with trainee teachers, and were subsequently compared against information provided by supervisors and students.
