Simon Beck is a Lecturer in the Philosophy Department of the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg. His main research has been on personal identity and the use of thought-experiments. Articles of his in these fields have appeared in Analysis, Metaphilosophy, and the South African Journal of Philosophy.
