Michael J. Cholbi is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He has published several articles on ethics, including work on Kant's ethics, punishment, and egoism. His current research addresses (1) the viability of nonideal Kantian moral theory and (2) defenses of the rationality of moral commitment against egoistic challenges.
