      Kathy Behrendt's main areas of philosophical interest and research are personal identity theory, self-consciousness, and death. Recent publications include “Despair, Liberation, and Everyday Life” (Richmond Journal of Philosophy), “The New Neo-Kantian and Reductionist Debate” (Pacific Philosophical Quarterly), and an entry on Derek Parfit for The Dictionary of Literary Biography, Vol. 262: British Philosophers 1800–2000. She is currently a Junior Research Associate at New College, Oxford.
