In the publication ‘2012 European guideline for the management of anogenital warts' by Lacey et al., it is stated in the footnotes that ‘This guideline has been produced on behalf of the following organizations: the European Branch of the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI Europe); the European Dermatology Federation (EDF); the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS)’.
- The representatives of the EDF (European Dermatology Forum) wish to inform the readers that the acronym EDF stands for European Dermatology Forum. This guideline neither was established according to the SOP process nor was it ever approved by the EDF. This is not an official EDF guideline.
- The representatives of the UEMS (Union of European Medical Specialists) wish to inform the readers that the UEMS was not involved in the preparation of this guideline. This is not an official UEMS guideline.
