Induction of secretogranin II mRNA by a depolarizer tetraethylammonium in the hippocampal neurons. The primary cultured hippocampal neuronal/glial cells derived from newborn mice were stimulated by tetraethylammonium, and subjected to in situ hybridization analysis. Secretogranin II mRNA was detected as color-developing signals that localized in the cells resembling neurons immunostained for the marker protein MAP2B. J.
