  1. Cadmium isotope compositions were measured in troilite, while Pt and W isotope compositions were determined in adjacent metal pieces.

  2. Uncertainties on εiCd are based on the 2SD obtained for replicate analyses of the terrestrial metal standard (NIST129c), and additional uncertainty deriving from low Cd amounts and Sn interference corrections (see main text).

  3. With the exception of Merceditas all Pt and W data are from Kruijer et al. (2012, 2013a, 2013b).
