David Schmidtchen is group manager of human capital research and evaluation at the Australian Public Service Commission, a central agency responsible for leading and shaping a unifi ed, high-performing Australian Public Service (APS). The Human Capital Research and Evaluation Group is responsible for administering the APS Employee Census, maintaining the Australian Public Service Employment Database, and publishing the annual State of the Service Report.
