Anna Drake is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Waterloo. She completed her Ph.D. at Queen's University (Canada) in 2008 where her dissertation focused upon the intersection of deliberative democratic theory and protest. Her current research examines the ‘empirical turn’ in deliberative theory and, specifically, analyses issues of inclusion, exclusion, and protest in deliberative mini-publics.
