The temperature-induced liquid–liquid structure transtion (LLST) of Al86Ni9La5 melt was identified by means of electrical resistivity and differential thermal analysis measurement. The effects of LLST on the GFA and crystallization processes are studied. When the amorphous sample is prepared under the temperature experienced LLST, the GFA will be reduced. The LLST also has a significant influence on the intermetallic compounds formation during the crystallization process.
