We compare three promising roll-to-roll lamination methods (UV-curing, hotmelt, and pressure sensitive adhesive) for the encapsulation of fully solution processed and ITO-free polymer solar cells. The fabricated modules are evaluated with respect to ease of fabrication, speed, and lifetime. The devices are laminated either on the backside or both sides to compare the edge sealing effect of each adhesive.
