Electrochemical dealloying of Au25Cu75 leads to uniform and specifically crack-free monolithic bodies with a structure size in the range of 10 nm or even below. The key issues to achieve that goal are the investigation of the role of the lattice parameter change, the dealloying potential and rate, and the thermo-mechanical treatment of the master alloys.
