Oxidative chemical vapor deposition (oCVD) for obtaining conducting copolymer films of pyrrole and thiophene-3-acetic acid (TAA) is presented (see figure). A strategy for assembling inorganic metal nanoparticles on top of these films using linker molecules is also presented. The effect of silver nanoparticle attachment on the conductivity is discussed.
