3D morphology favorable for electrode function in P3HT:PCBM bulk heterojunction solar cells (see figure) is confirmed by TEM and TOF-SIMS measurements of the composite films before and after optimized solvent-annealing. The efficiency parameters, particularly the internal quantum efficiencies, of the device after solvent-annealing for different times are also compared.
