Quasi-solid-state TiO2/dye molecule/P3HT solar cells give conversion efficiencies of up to 2.70% under 1 sun illumination. Effective electron injection from the dye molecules and efficient charge transfer from π-stacked P3HT polymers via their self-organized interface result in the respectable performance accompanied by the electronic roles of imidazolium cation, lithium cation, and t-BP as adsorbent to nc-TiO2.
