The roller painting process enhances the crystallinity of both poly(3-hexylthiophene) and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester in the active layer of bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells and achieves a high efficiency over a large active area (ca. 5 cm2).
