Well-ordered, large-pore mesoporous anatase TiO2 with high thermal stability and improved crystallinity was fabricated by an evaporation-induced self-assembly approach, using encircling ethylenediamine protectors to maintain the liquid crystal mesophase structure, followed by high temperature calcination. The TiO2 exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity due to the integrated large-pore mesoporous structure, large surface area, and high crystallinity.
