Three dimensional and anisotropic, single-walled carbon nanotubes film is fabricated by template-guided fluidic assembly with complete control over the local thickness in the assembled nanostructure, realized by three-dimensional engineering of assembled substrate with alternating hydrophilic and hydrophobic microlines. The nanostructured film exhibits significant in-plane anisotropy in electrical and thermal transport properties as well as an optically transparent nature.
