A C3N4/BiPO4 core/shell structured photocatalyst is synthesized via a facile ultrasonic dispersion method. The match of the lattice and energy levels between C3N4 and BiPO4 facilitates the separation and transfer of photogenerated electron–hole pairs at the heterojunction interfaces so that it significantly enhances UV light photocatalytic activity and visible light photocatalytic activity.
