H2Ti6O13-nanowires with expanded interlayer space display a high capacitance in non-aqueous electrolyte solution. The asymmetric supercapacitor, which is based on a negative electrode of H2Ti6O13-nanowires and a positive electrode of ordered mesoporous carbon (CMK-3), exhibits a high energy density of 90 Wh kg−1.
