High-performance blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs) are achieved by orthogonal solution-processing of small-molecule electron-transport material (ETM) doped with an alkali metal salt, Cs2CO3 or Li2CO3. It is shown for the first time that various ETMs can be solution-doped with alkali metal salt to fabricate high-performance PhOLEDs. The demonstrated approach is a promising strategy for solution-processed organic electronic devices.
