Highly stable graphene-based multilayers films are covalently immobilized on solid supports. Compared with those formulated through a noncovalent-based method, the as-constructed covalent-based multilayered films display much higher stability and reproducibility, suggesting a bright future for practical applications that require withstanding of multistep post-production processes. The application of the covalent graphene-based films as source/drain electrodes in organic field-effect transistors is investigated.
