K. Totani, S. Hirata, and co-workers report on page 283 the efficient thermally activated reverse energy transfer from the lower excited state of a donor to the higher excited state of an acceptor when the energy difference between the two excited states is 0.4 eV. This energy transfer results in a temperaturedependent color change with persistent phosphorescence.
