A bioelectrocatalytic composite film consisting of molecularly ordered glucose oxidase, Os-complex mediator, and aligned carbon nanotubes shows both high activity for glucose oxidation (ca. 15 mA cm−2) and high electron turnover rate (ca. 650 s−1), indicating almost every enzyme in the composite can work to the fullest extent. This windable composite film is used to drive a self-powered sugar monitor.
