The correlated hole transport and structural evolution in semi-crystalline regioregular P3HT over the range of temperatures where significant structural changes occur is investigated. Below 120 °C, the hole transport is dictated by amorphous phase and can be described by the conventional Gaussian disorder model; above 120 °C, the roles of macroscopic decrease of crystallinity and microscopic expansion along π-π stacking need to be considered for the decrease of hole mobility.
