Robust mechanical behavior is critical to the success of flexible organic solar cells. This paper discusses how the morphology of the polymer:fullerene layer affects the mechanical behavior of the film with a focus on stiffness and ductility. It is found that methods used to improve photovoltaic device performance result in stiffer and more brittle behavior.
