A dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) composed of dual-functional upconverter-doped TiO2 hollow shells for enhanced performance is developed by Lianzhou Wang and co-workers on page 704. The performance improvement is due to the dual-functional layer, which is not only efficient for light scattering but also enhances near-infrared light harvesting and utilization in DSSC.
