Debaser: Key elementary steps in the activation of H3B[BOND]NH3 and derivatives upon coordination to a metal fragment have been identified. Recent results in the metal-induced dehydrogenation of amine–boranes show the importance of the B[BOND]H bond-activation step. Isolated complexes show unprecedented amine–borane bonding modes and H2BNH2 trapping on a metal center thanks to a bis(σ-B[BOND]H) mode.
