The objective is to demonstrate the importance of using process-based dynamic models to better evaluate GHG emissions. Two approaches are compared (simple comprehensive versus mechanistic ASMN with ADM1) for N2O and CH4 emissions. The different approaches lead to significant differences in the N2O emissions but not in the CH4 emissions. Changes in sludge line significantly affect GHG emissions in the water line.
