Don′t get your nanowires crossed: Aluminum, as an attractive catalyst, has exhibited an effective doping behavior during silicon nanowire growth, in which Al can not only ensure a novel and efficient route to adjust Si nanowire compositions, but also plays a critical role in shaping the structural morphologies of Si nanowires.
