Smokescreen: Electrochemical characterization of 665 oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts in a pseudoternary composition space identifies their fundamental properties and property–performance relationships. The oxidation potential of the catalysts and the Tafel slopes for the OER are correlated and are found to vary smoothly with composition between two active catalyst regions. These results demonstrate tunable catalysis behavior in this new catalyst composition space.
