TTF to transfer: A series of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF)-annulated porphyrins, along with their corresponding ZnII complexes, have been synthesized and subjected to detailed electrochemical and photophysical analysis (see figure). It was found that the synthetic addition of TTF moieties to the porphyrin core makes the resulting macrocycle more susceptible to charge-transfer processes.
