The efficiencies of phosphorus and nitrogen removal and the recovery by struvite precipitation and air stripping were investigated. The results suggest that struvite precipitation is a highly efficient method for removing phosphorus from diluted and undiluted urine. In both cases, PO4-P-removal efficiencies of 98% could be achieved.
