Megalin contributes to the renal retention of 99mTc-7C12 in the cortex. Lysine and gelofusine administered at the time of tracer injection results in the reduction of renal retention of 99mTc-7C12. Moreover Lysine and gelofusine administration improve tumor uptake of 99mTc-7C12.
