In this systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials that have reported on the management of adult patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in first complete remission, the results indicated that, mainly for the subgroup of standard-risk patients, allogenic stem cell transplantation was superior to autologous stem cell transplantation or chemotherapy.
