For Hodgkin lymphoma patients in first remission, surveillance radiography is expensive and yields significant radiation exposure. Surveillance positron emission tomography/computed tomography appears to offer no advantage over computed tomography scans in the detection of recurrent lymphoma or secondary malignancy.
