Patients with extranodal and nodal marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) have a similar prognosis, whereas patients with splenic MZL have a comparatively better prognosis. Three factors, B symptoms, β2-microglobulin, and gender, appear to be prognostic factors in patients with MZL.
