This survey study examining cancer-related chronic pain and its impact on quality of life (QOL) in cancer survivors found that 20% were experiencing current pain and 43% had experienced pain since their diagnosis. Pain was related to poorer QOL and was more frequently experienced by women; blacks experienced greater pain severity.
