Version of Record online: 16 DEC 2011 | DOI: 10.1002/cncr.26684

The objective of this research is to describe the clinical and pathologic features and to identify prognostic factors in patients with atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors of the central nervous system. In children, these tumors carry a dismal prognosis. Age <2 years, metastasis at diagnosis, and strong claudin-6 positivity appear to be independent prognostic factors for outcome.
