The Hammersmith Score is a simple and objective index that predicts the survival of patients referred to a phase 1 clinic and dynamically changes during treatment. On the basis of these properties, the Hammersmith Score could contribute to optimizing the drug development process, making patient stratification according to survival and response to treatment a clinically achievable aim.
