The best of both: A graphene/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (G/PEDOT) hybrid has been prepared by means of the galvanostatic polymerization of the EDOT monomer on graphene-modified carbon paper. The G/PEDOT hybrid as an anode material for microbial fuel cells exhibits a superior performance to that of carbon paper (CP), graphene-modified carbon paper (CP/G), and PEDOT-modified carbon paper anodes (CP/PEDOT; see figure).
