Be selective: Combination of peptide trimethylation isotopic labeling and chemically enhanced differential mobility spectroscopy (DMS) provides a significant increase in selectivity and sensitivity of quantitative peptide analysis. This is achieved through suppression of protonated ions by induced proton transfer to the DMS modifier, leaving the quaternary amine of the trimethylated ions unaffected (HG=hexaglycine, TMEHG=trimethylated esterified hexaglycine).
