Alternative energy: One-pot reduction and functionalization of graphene oxide with ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) provides a multifunctional material (GEDOT) possessing catalytic sites for two distinct electrochemical reactions: the reduction of oxygen and reduction of triiodide to iodide (see figure). These processes occur in fuel cells and solar cells, respectively.
