The cover pictue shows a morphological phase diagram of CeO2 indicating regions of nanoparticle nanorod and nanocube formation after certain time periods of hydrothermal treatment. The phase boundaries are estimated by using experimental parameters (NaOH concentration (M), temperature (°C), and time (h)) of the hydrothermal process. The phase boundaries from nanoparticles to nanorods and nanocubes are observed to shift at higher temperature with low caustic concentration. The relative incremental increase in temperature suggests that nanorod and nanocube formation is more dependent on temperature than caustic concentration.
