An epoxy on both your houses! A trifunctional bio-based epoxy resin (denoted TEIA) is synthesized from itaconic acid. Its curing reaction with poly(propylene glycol) bis(2-aminopropyl ether) (D230) and methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride (MHHPA) is investigated. As a result of high epoxy value and low viscosity, TEIA shows high performance and good processability.
