Biomass liquefaction-derived polyols and polyurethanes: A Review of polyols and polyurethanes (PUs) derived from the liquefaction of lignocellulosic biomass is presented. Biomass is liquefied through solvolytic reactions by polyhydric alcohols to produce polyols for PU applications. The effects of liquefaction parameters on biomass liquefaction efficiency are discussed. In addition, the properties of biomass liquefaction-derived polyols and PUs are also discussed.
