Mo way, Mo how! A simple one-pot method to systematically synthesize crumpled graphene–MoO3 composite powders is introduced. As a result of its unique structure, the synthesized composite exhibits excellent cycling and rate performances as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries. The technique may be applied for the preparation of other types of crumpled graphene–metal oxide powders for use in lithium-ion batteries.
