Double trouble! The hydrotalcite-derived Ni–Fe alloy nanoparticles are highly active for the steam reforming of biomass tar to produce renewable syngas, and exhibit much better regenerability toward the oxidation–reduction treatment than those on a conventional α-Al2O3-supported catalyst (see picture).
