Dual-redox-couple ionic liquid for DSSCs: A newly synthesized ionic liquid, JC-IL, which contains an iodide redox couple and a N[BOND]O radical redox couple in one compound, with attractive electrochemical characteristics exhibits a high open-circuit voltage of over 850 mV and significant light-to-electricity conversion efficiencies under standard AM 1.5 sunlight of 6.76 % for dye D149 and 8.12 % for dye CR147.
