This paper presents a twotransformer LLC series resonant converter. The proposed converter allows a low-profile power supply design. The total load current can be equally shared between two transformers and the output rectifier modules. Therefore, the heat problem can be effectively relieved. The steadystate analysis and design of this new converter are described. Experimental results are recorded for a prototype converter with an output voltage of 12V, an output power of 300W, and a resonant frequency of 74 kHz. Copyright © 201John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
